I started by exploring the building up-views
Long lines and stretched angles
I'd step aside and off curbs to see clearly past the branches.
They reach across every view--their bare tentacles
Black veins spreading in every direction
Encroaching on every frame.
Was it on purpose? As if they wanted me to stop looking past them.
To remember that they were here first?
So I did stop and I stopped stepping aside and
I kept their barky arms in the frame. The scenes became better.
More Interesting.
The story became more complicated
Layers. Textures.
History. Perspective.
Paradox. Reality.
